Our Story

1719 Block Gallery was Inspired  by Keeseville, NY artist and native Clark Davidson, Clark was inspired to open 1719 Block Gallery after attending Lesley College of Art and Design in Cambridge, MA, where he received his BFA in Painting and Printmaking in 2011. After spending a year renovating the  old Turner Drug store to its former glory, 1719 Block Gallery opened its doors to the public the summer of 2013.

1719 Block Gallery is dedicated to  enriching  the community by supporting  fine art created by  local artists. Clark works to find local artists that portray the life of the Adirondacks and emulate the beauty that surrounds the gallery in every direction. 1719 Block Gallery is always looking to expand the communities knowledge of the arts, with rotating  exhibits of new work.

The spirit of the Adirondack Park informs 1719 Block Gallery's body of work  and all who show here.   This unique region encourages the artist to infuse their work with a full and rich range of creative and innovative expression.
